Life Skills: SEQUENCING Shopping w/ Verbal Cues First, Next, Last
Sequencing Shopping: Life Skills & Community Routines
Help students build shopping and sequencing skills with detailed, real-life images focused entirely on shopping trips. Unlike general sequencing decks that cover multiple ADLs, this deck is all about shopping!
✔ 7 three-step sequences & 3 four-step sequences
✔ Visit different stores, including a grocery store, floral shop, fish shop, bookstore, movie concession stand, and plant store
Two Levels of Support:
Level 1: Each square has a "listen" button for verbal cues (e.g., "2nd, she puts on her dress.")
Level 2: The same sequences, but without verbal cues, encouraging independent sequencing.
📌 Boom™️ cards use "flow magic," preventing slides from auto-advancing. This allows time for discussion before moving to the next step.
Possible Goals to Target:
Sequencing routines when shopping
Answering yes/no questions (Should he leave now?)
Answering WH- questions (What kind of plant did she buy?)
Describing (The two fish in the bag are blue and white.)
Problem-solving (What will happen if he leaves without paying?)
Using first, next, last
A great resource for special education, speech therapy, and life skills instruction!
